Overnight, Russian aerial assaults have caused power cuts in multiple districts of Ukraine's capital, Kyiv.
A number of civilians were wounded while local people in eastern neighborhoods were experienced blackouts and dealt with disruption to water systems, according to local authorities.
Meanwhile, a minor was fatally injured in a different assault in the southeastern region in the southeastern part, based on information from local officials.
Moscow has increased assaults on electrical systems over the last fortnight, while the country's government has called for "substantial measures" from partner nations to exert influence on Russia.
"What is required is not superficial actions but decisive action - from the US, Europe and the major economies - in providing defensive weapons and enforcing restrictions," mentioned in a social media post.
Officials stated that 450 drones and several dozen missiles attacked energy facilities, describing such attacks as "cynical and calculated" and against "everything that sustains normal life" as winter approaches.
Energy officials said Russia was "inflicting a massive strike" and maintenance teams were striving to repair systems.
A wave of strikes hit electrical systems and civilian homes in the capital.
Several of the people injured in the assaults on the city have been transported for medical care, according to local officials.
Local officials said the urban area came under intense attacks overnight. A young boy died and multiple civilians were injured.
The strikes succeed evenings of bombing campaigns in the territory, portions of which are currently controlled by Russian forces.
The entire country is on alert for sophisticated projectile assaults, which are tougher to spot.
Authorities told journalists that Moscow was deliberately attempting to demolish the national power system, with attacks already affecting fuel infrastructure.
Authorities confirmed utility staff and government agencies were anticipating further attacks.
