WHere is an easy take on a drink featured on our latest drinks list. It's a large-volume prepared mix that's packed with the flavours of a holiday season, which makes it ideal for your celebration. Reserve the remaining citrus syrup you can use for breakfast cocktails, desserts, or for more rounds of the drink.
Bikini Recipe
Makes enough for 10 people
For the Citrus Syrup (makes 750ml)
300ml fresh clementine juice
200ml newly squeezed lemon juice
500g granulated sugar
For the Drink (makes 850ml, serving 10)
400ml premium vodka
100ml classic gin
150ml peach schnapps
200ml citrus syrup (as made above)
A few cranberries, for garnish
Mandarin essential oil, to finish
Instructions
Making the Cordial: Put all the ingredients inside a pan, heat until it reaches a simmer, stirring so the sugar melts. After that, turn off the burner and leave to cool down entirely. Pour into a sterilised bottle, cap it and store in the refrigerator, it will last for around four weeks.
Preparing the Cocktail Base: Mix all the liquids into a large bottle, allow it to infuse for 60 minutes, then pass it through best through cheesecloth, to ensure it's perfectly clear.
When ready to serve: Add 85ml from the cocktail base into your mixing glass filled with ice, gently stirring carefully for about 60 seconds to cool it down. Pour to a frosted cocktail glass or a similar vessel, garnish with the cranberries and complete it with a quick spritz of mandarin oil above the glass.
